![]() It's bug time again! Bugs present (that I knew about and could reproduce) in the last version I did this for, and their status now - At one specific spot in FBZ2 holding down puts you in your crouching animation on the ceiling, but the right way up (instead of upside down). (I know people had music/audio issues in other zones when the game initially released-thankfully I never did-but it does seem like the current version prior to 1.04 has resolved most audio/music issues, except for it still occasionally happening in PGZ Act 2.) (PGZ Act 2 music cutting out has happened at least once on the Sonic official livestream as well.) Of course you can still play when the music cuts out, but it's not a great experience-hearing nothing but sound effects is pretty eerie, and having the music cut out only serves to remind you how great and essential it is to the overall quality of the game. It's always a bummer when it happens, but it doesn't happen that often and it's only ever specifically PGZ Act 2 that it still happens to me. I still occasionally have the music cut out on me in Press Garden Zone Act 2 on all versions of the game prior to 1.04/"Plus." I'd say it happens maybe 1/10 times. But yeah like I said I think quirks like this from the character switching system are to be expected and not that big of a deal.)īut the music cutting out seems like a more widespread issue and a bigger deal. Obviously it wasn't an issue before because it just visually looks like the door squashed them and they respawn shortly after only now that there's a possibility you can switch to playing as them right after it happens is it a problem, especially since we now know the door is actually pushing them into the wall/geometry beneath the door. Here's a video from 8/17/17 of it happening to Tails. (That issue of retractable doors falling on AI characters after you've gone through them and pushing them beneath the door has existed since the initial release. And that's the most major bug I've seen so far with the character switching system. Of course the character switching system is going to lead to some bizarre moments like that. (I'm assuming if I watched all the streams that are currently available on Youtube/Twitch I'd find several more.) It happens twice in this video on Youtube here and here, it happened to Blue Blood here, and it happened to BlazeHedgehog here.īlue Blood's video from Hydrocity where retractable doors fell down on Ray and pushed him beneath inside a wall that Blue Blood then got stuck in since he switched from Sonic to Ray not realizing what had happened to Ray (I'm guessing the game let him switch because it still thought Ray was in close proximity to him) seems like a more forgivable issue to me. There's been at least four confirmed instances of music cutting out in Encore. Sonic Dream Team launches on December 5 on Apple Arcade. This will probably get buried since it's release day, but I figure now's the time to post about it since there will be even more activity once the patch/Encore is live on all platforms: Personally, the Kingdom Hearts-like water dive in the beginning put new meaning into Dream Drop Distance. Supposedly a guardian of the ancient dream device (stolen by Eggman) called the Reverie, her appearance in the newest title will be pretty large. With the addition of Cream and Rouge, a new sheep character is introduced: Ariem. ![]() Eggman’s twisted dreamscape (sadly not related to NiGHTS into Dreams). The story follows Sonic and his friends as they battle fearsome foes within Dr. This isn’t Sonic’s first tour on Apple Arcade, as Sonic Dash+ and Sonic Racing grace the platform. Sorry Android users, but robots don’t tend to be friendly to the hedgehog, as history has shown. This time, you can play on your iPhone, as Dream Team is an Apple Arcade exclusive. It’s a 3D platformer similar to other franchise entries like last year’s Sonic Frontiers. ![]() SEGA revealed Sonic Dream Team earlier this month. Since then, he’s spearheaded tons of Sonic-based media and become a beacon for fans. ![]() His classic style was loved by fans, which made his later involvement in the opening animation of Sonic Mania a feast for the eyes. Getting his start doing fan art of the self-proclaimed “Fastest Thing Alive,” he found work within the Sonic Archie comics. It doesn’t hurt that the Sonic Dream Team intro is animated by Hesse, whose impact on the Sonic series has been nothing short of influential. ![]()
